Wild Web Design – Encounter The Wild
Having been back in the UK for almost a year following my time traveling around the world it’s safe to assume the urge to up sticks and take off once again is at an all time high. Sitting in my studio here in London there’s rarely a day goes by where I don’t have a quick look through photos of us in the Amazon Rainforest or watching Elephants in Namibia.
Luckily for me, there’s been plenty of time for me to sit an reminisce, thanks to one of my most recent clients. Rob Montague a man with a passion for wildlife and adventure, travel expert and lover of all things wild approached me to build a website for his new Wildlife travel tour company – Encounter The Wild.
Encounter the Wild represents a passion for wildlife and adventure. It has sprung from years of experience out in the wilderness areas of the world, seeking out wildlife in jungles, mountains, and oceans. It is a collection of the best wildlife experiences on earth and a testament to the incredible wildlife and people that we’ve had the privilege to meet along the way. – Rob Montague (Encounter The Wild).
The new website, which launched last week, features loads of amazing tours and will help aspiring and seasoned adventurers alike book once in a lifetime adventures to some of the most amazing, most remote and down right obscure parts of the planet. Be it an epic polar voyage to discover a world of untamed wildlife on the most isolated continent on earth or a Classic Tiger Safari in India.
For Rob, it was important to ensure maximum compatibility across browsers and devices, and be as usable as possible for users whilst maintaining absolute control over each and every aspect of the site in the back end, be it updating tours and photos on the homepage or adding new payment logos to the website footer.
Some of the key features include:
- Dedicated tour based taxonomies in WordPress
- Integrated booking forms and dynamic tour calender
- Giant homepage slider
- Automated image resizing
- Community area and dedicated blog
- Google Plus integration and author rank
- Hundreds of editable regions
- Integrated mapbox maps
To see the site or to book a tour for yourself isit Encounter The Wild.
